College life is a far cry from high school. Being on my first year, I am still trying to find the lessons I have to learn.
You could say I was uninteresting in high school. My life revolved around the library while the cheerleaders were preoccupied with their player boyfriends and some others were busy with putting red lipstick and smoky eyes on.
I suppose that I remain to be that boring girl in many respects. The only difference was that I started liking some things I used to reject: a slimmer figure, beauty products and boys.
Even if I opened myself to new things, I do not forget more important concerns. I carry a Lipstick Pepper Spray at all times as my protection device because it is ideal as women's defense spray. I put it in my purse during parties the way I do with my lipstick, or in my pocket when I am at school.
No one can tell at a glance that a Lipstick Pepper Spray is actually women's defense spray. Just three weeks ago, I was able to use it when I attended a house party of my classmate. A guy befriended me, and asked if I could go get some drinks with him in his car.
I went along even if I did not feel comfortable with the idea because I did not want to be rude. As preparation, I cautiously took out my Lipstick Pepper Spray, just in case.
We were alone in the parking lot, and before we could reach his car, he pushed me to the wall and tried taking advantage of me. I removed the cap of my pepper spray, and out of shock, I sprayed all of its contents to him.
I could just imagine how a type of women's defense spray with 20 half second bursts and sprays up to 10 feet could have affected him. But I did not care because I felt violated. What I have learned now is that some guys will take advantage of you, so I always carry women?s defense spray anywhere I go.
